- Dry-clean only: Velvet should be dry-cleaned by a professional cleaner who specializes in handling delicate fabrics. Avoid washing it at home as this can cause the fabric to lose its texture and color.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Velvet should be kept away from direct sunlight as this can cause the fabric to fade and discolor. Instead, store it in a cool, dry place.
- Use a soft brush: To remove dust or debris from Velvet, use a soft-bristled brush and gently brush in the direction of the pile. Avoid using a vacuum cleaner or rubbing the fabric as this can damage the delicate fibers.
- Iron on low heat: If ironing is required, use a low-heat setting and a pressing cloth to avoid damaging the fibers. Iron in the direction of the pile and avoid using steam as this can cause water spots on the fabric.
